#1 How many people are in your group?
There are five of us that make up Ascot Royals. Sam Stark(drums), Tal Vaisman(guitar), Ben Chauveau(keys), Scott Page(bass) & Myself Jimmy Chauveau(vocals).
#2 How would you describe your music?
I'd describe us as an alternative-dancy-rock band.
#3 Why the name “The Ascot Royals?”
My brother ben and I were from a place in England near Ascot an our previous drummer (Scott Cunningham) had an email address with Ascott in it, then it just fell into place because it had a nice ring to it.
#4 How many recordings/re-writes till you’ve struck gold ? We are always tinkering/toying with sections, sometimes right up until the night before recording it, usually we are all satisfied when we hear it back though, We don't believe in gold records we are more so into sequins & velvet.
#5 where do you get your inspiration from?
We all have very different influences & very eclectic tastes, so when we come together it's strange but it tends to work because we all surprise each other with ideas. Oh and George Michael's cousin Susan Michael.
#6 Who are you influenced by… musician?
Biffy Clyro, Queen, Frank Ocean, Susan M(still not hit the big time)...depends on the day really, the list is endless.
#7 Who would you marry, kill and fuck?
Rose Leslie, John Terry, Jessica Nigri
#8 How many of you actually wear neck ties?
None.... Ben does while using the toilet, common in Ascot.
#9 Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Chasing ostriches.
#10 Whats your fast food, porn and alcohol of choice? Burger King/Taco Bell, anything Star wars related, Vodka
