#1 When/how did you come up with the idea of coffee Shop Squatters?

We knew we wanted to develop something about writers. We started brainstorming ideas while hanging out in local coffee shops. CSS came to us when we realized we had been there awhile and we were kind of "squatting."

#2 how would you describe the show?

CSS pokes fun at some of the absurd personalities we've encountered while working in production. We take that world, bring it into a coffee shop, and parody the squatters that everyone has seen milling about on their laptops. 

#3 How many people are involved with the show? And how do you know each other?

Many of our friends and other working professionals are involved. We (Ashleigh and Eddie) are married and have been developing projects for a few years together. 

#4 who are your influences or where do you get your inspiration?

We get inspiration from all kinds of places, movies, books, music.  We love comedies that are smart.  The kind of comedies where you are laughing at jokes that are in the finer details.  For example Clue, where you are not laughing at every second, but its a film where you see new jokes and gags each time you watch it.  Another place we get inspiration is from books we loved as kids, we love to reference stuff from our childhood and see if anybody notices...and Tina Fey, always Tina Fey.

#5 How long does it take you to shoot an episode?

We shot all 6 episodes in 2 days... we do not recommend doing this, but we have a great working relationship with one another as well as our crew so we were able to move quickly, plus we planned ahead big time. 

#6 Who would you: kill, have a steamy sex scene with and who's face would you tattoo on your body?

✦ Kill- the woman in that Honda who cut me off on the road yesterday. 
✦Steamy Sex Scene - My Husband, Eddie (Real Answer: Ryan Gosling).
✦Tattoo- Stefan from SNL, because he makes me laugh when he covers his mouth.

#7 Have any of you actually worked in a coffee shop before?

Neither of us has worked in a coffee shop before...but we spend a lot of money in them.

#8 Whats the next season look like?

We will see what comes next after the business agreement Tim, Greg, Julie, and Baxter have come to at the end of Season 1. Tim and Greg will grow up a little bit, but not too much

#9 Where do you see yourself/show in 5 years?

On Comedy Central (Hint, Hint). We've got arcs for these characters that can take us into many future seasons. We will also continue to create projects we believe in, and hopefully make a little money from it. 

#10 whats one vice you cant live without?
